James Robert Gibson, 67, of Marshfield passed peacefully at home surrounded by the warmth of his family just over 3 weeks shy of his 68th birthday. A Celebration of Life for James will be held privately for his immediate family.

James was born November 28, 1958 in Onamia, Minnesota to Dr. Charles and Elizabeth "Betty" (Leander) Gibson. He attended the University of Minnesota.

James enjoyed 35 wonderful years of marriage to Dawn Devonne (Votava) Gibson.

First and foremost, he was a man of faith who believed in salvation through Jesus Christ (John 3:16). He was always there to help family in need. Whether it was automotive repairs, construction needs, or anything else. He worked for many years at Marshfield Doors as a CNC machine operator. Coming from a family of Swedish descent, he was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and loved sports.

James will be dearly missed by his wife Dawn, his children, and grandchildren:

● Anthony (Julie) Gibson of East Lansing, MI, and their children Lydia and Noelle
● Andrew Gibson of Marshfield, WI
● Emily Gibson of Marshfield, WI, and her daughter Olivia
● Jonathon (Emily) Gibson of Rothschild, WI, and their children Abigail and Lillian
● Joshua Gibson of Marshfield.

He is further survived by his two older brothers: Dr. Michael (Cindy) Gibson of Mikana, WI, and Mark (Pat MacDonell) Gibson of Minneapolis, MN.

He has joined his loving parents in heaven.
