James Mildenberger, 81, Marshfield, died on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph's Palliative Care, Marshfield. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. James was born on May 28, 1932 in Chicago, IL to William and Mary (Mossley) Mildenberger. He married Joan E. Barfell in August of 1973 in Illinois. Jim was employed at Chicago Cash Registry and Chicago Railroad. After his retirement in 1986 the Mildenberger's moved to Wisconsin where they resided in Alma Center and in 1994 moved to Neillsville and then in 2000 to Marshfield. Jim was a happy man, a devoted husband and father and enjoyed westerns and animals. He is survived by his wife, Joan and children, James (Sarah) Sowka of IL, Linda (Gary) Brown of AZ, George (Pam) Mildenberger, Frank (Diane) Mildenberger, and Christine Mildenberger, all of Wisconsin. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is further survived by his twin brother, George Mildenberger, and a sister, Roseanne Hanna, both of Kentucky.
