James "Jim" K. Smith, 60, Marshfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at his home. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time. Rev. Keith Kitzhaber will officiate. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Jim was born on August 24, 1960 in Marshfield to Thomas and Mary (Welch) Smith. He attended Marshfield schools. He worked for Schreiner's Plumbing and then Superior Paper for 22 years. Jim enjoyed fishing, disc golf, woodworking, grilling out, camping, the outdoors, and Sasquatch. He also liked watching Star Trek, listening to the Coast to Coast radio show, and he was an avid Brewers, Packers, and Bucks fan. He is survived by his brother, Mike (Mary Jo Hamilton) Smith of Brainerd, MN, and sisters, Connie Wiesemann of Marshfield, Jenny (Carl) Landowski of Scandinavia, and Tammy (Kurt) Wallig of Marshfield. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews, Chad (Kristen) Smith and their children, Ally, Beckett, and Sabrina, Shannon (James) Crone and their daughter, Lila, Justin Wiesemann, Jesse Cahn, Meagan Cahn, and Breanna Wallig. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Smith, and sisters, Cheryl and Karen Smith.
