Obituary

James W. Hetze at the age of 72 passed away on January 1st, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home in Junction City, WI.

A graveside service may be held at a later date.

Jim was born on February 12th, 1951, to Ruth and William Hetze Jr of Milladore, WI. Jim attended Mill Creek Grade School and graduated from Auburndale High School. Jim was a self-employed semi-driver for many years.

Jim is the father of two children, James M. Hetze and David Hetze. Also, a grandfather of two, Max and Carsen Hetze.

Jim had two passions besides families. Make-A-Wish Convoy which he took great pride in for 23 years and the Mill Creek Gun Club for 20 years.

Jim also had an overabundance of trucker friends he called his other family. Jim made many friends over the years in his travels throughout the United States.

Jim enjoyed driving, whether it was in his semi or his pickup, the wheels always seemed to be turning. Shining deer and fishing were his other pastimes.

Jim is survived by his children James/Tracy Hetze of Milladore, David/Teri Hetze of Wisconsin Rapids, brother Mike/Lori Hetze of Milladore, and sister Marian (Tootie) Hoffman of Milladore. Grandsons Max and Carsen Hetze.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents William and Ruth Hetze, sister Sally Fry, brothers Donald Hetze and Richard Hetze, and brother-in-law Richard Hoffman.

Jim will be deeply missed!
