Obituary

James R. "Chopper" Roux, 46, Marshfield, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in West Columbia, South Carolina. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Donald Meuret officiating. Burial will take place in St. Michaels Cemetery in Hewitt and serving as pallbearers will be Dave LaRock, David Bryant, Lenny Snobl, Larry Schade, Marty Mancl, and Brian Toft. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 10:30 am until service time at Our Lady of Peace Church. A parish rosary service will be held on Tuesday at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Jim was born on November 24, 1964 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, the son of Glenn and Jacqueline (Myers) Roux and was a graduate of Rice Lake High School. He married Lori Breu on August 11, 2002 in Jamaica. Jim had been an over the road semi-truck driver for twenty two years, including being a driver trainer at Roehl Trucking for twelve years. He was currently working at Prochnow Transport in Medford. He was a diehard Earnhart and John Force fan. He believed loud pipes saved lives. He is survived by his wife, Lori and a son, Jon (Kara) Rank of Marshfield and a grandson Peyton who was the apple of his eye. He is also survived by his mother, Jacqueline "Dolly" Roux, two brothers and three sisters, Mike (Sharon) Roux, Pat Roux, Kathy (Rick) Collins, and Jan (Lynn) Hodnett, all of Rice Lake, and Carol (Randy) Robideaux of Chippewa Falls. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father.
