James A. Andres, 78 of Marshfield died on Saturday morning, June 25, 2011 at his home with his family at his side. He was under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday June 28, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic with Rev. Peter Manickam officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post # 54 of Marshfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Jaime and Jesse Waldron, Raymond Burrill, Dr. Steve Krah, Roman and Robert Andres. Visitations will be from 9:30 am on Tuesday until time of service at Sacred Heart Church. Jim was born on November 15, 1932 in Auburndale to John and Olga (Schlotthauer) Andres. He attended Marshfield area schools before entering the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Jim was united in marriage to Ruth A. Weber on October 17, 1953 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Stratford. After his honorable discharge, he worked as a plant supervisor for S.J. Miller Co. in Marshfield. He retired from Land O Lakes Cheese Company in Spencer. He enjoyed puzzles and watching sports, especially the Dodgers. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth of 57 years, children Jill Waldron of Edgar, Jackie (Raymond) Burrill of Marshfield and Jodie ( Steve) Krah of Rice Lake; six grandchildren Jaime(Lori) Waldron, Jesse and Jory Waldron; Sam and Sawyer Krah and Molly Eiden; three great grandchildren, Ethan and Jade Waldron and Preston Burrill. He is further survived by two brothers, Roman Andres of Marshfield and Robert Andres of Wisconsin Rapids, two sisters, Marge Gansch of Vesper and Loretta Tauschek of Marshfield; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Andres of Milwaukee and Delores Andres of Wisconsin Rapids. Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son-in-law John A. Waldron, two sisters Betty Andres and Alma Wunrow, three brothers, Ervin "Pete", Herbert and Ray Andres. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the excellent care provided by Aspirus Comfort Care and especially to Dr. Gavin, nurses, Christine, Mary and Tara.
