Jacqueline Marie Schlagenhaft, 62, Marshfield, died on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Adams Avenue Group Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Eric Berns officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and from 10:30 am until service time at Our Lady of Peace Church.
Jacqueline was born on February 1, 1956 in Marshfield, to George and Gislene (Legue') Schlagenhaft.
Jackie had the following interests and accomplishments: family and community activities; fishing and camping; Special Olympics, softball and bowling; formal dances; Halloween, Christmas and New Year celebrations; birthday parties, especially her own; being with children; movies and music; "cruising around town" with family and friends; shopping, dining and drinking "pop"; jigsaw puzzles; horseback riding; painting and drawing; cooking and baking; collecting brochures; garage sales; working with computers, especially to create custom greeting cards and playing games on her tablet; she worked 25 years at O.D.C. (Opportunity Development Center); she loved volunteering at animal shelters, and participated in a Fresh Start Program. Jackie had some interesting expressions, three of which were: "What's that?" (to satisfy her curiosity), "HUGE", and "MOVE" (if someone was in her way). This is just a sampling of Jackie's colorful and fun filled life.
Jackie is survived by her brothers, Donald (Elizabeth) Schlagenhaft of Madison, Gerald (Sandra) Schlagenhaft of Marshfield, Frederick Schlagenhaft of Geneva, Switzerland and Philip (Pam) Schlagenhaft of Marshfield. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and 2 brothers, Allen in 1976 and Steven in 1999.
The family wished to thank the staff of Adams Avenue Group Home for the outstanding care that was given to Jackie.
