Jacob T. Leichtnam, 43, Marshfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at his home.

A private graveside service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Jacob was born on November 11, 1979 in Marshfield to Peter Leichtnam and Laura (Eckes) Ertl. He graduated from Marshfield Senior High. A few years after graduation he moved to Denver, Colorado, to be near his brother Travis. He enjoyed big city living. After a year he moved back to Marshfield and worked for Riveredge Golf Course and other various jobs. Jacob has a beautiful daughter Lily whom he raised on his own. His grandma and mother were always there to lend a hand. He cherished every moment with her. He loved fishing, painting his own fishing lures, going to ball games with his brother, gardening and spending time with his daughter.

He is survived by his daughter, Lily, mother, Laura Ertl, stepfather, Randall Ertl, father, Pete Leichtnam, stepmother, Christine Leichtnam, brother, Travis (Shari) Leichtnam, and a nephew, Brody Leichtnam. He is also survived by his Aunt Sue Perry, Godmother Jean Hosé, Uncle Tom and Aunt Jayne Eckes, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Dorothy Eckes, paternal grandparents, Burnetta and Elmer Leichtnam, Aunt Lisa and Uncle Bob Severson, and Aunt Judy Bingham.

Jacob, you will be sadly missed by family and friends. We love you!
