Jack R. Hansen, 83, Marshfield, entered eternal life on Monday, July 15, 2013 in the emergency room of Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 19, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Friday from 1:00 pm until service time at St. John's Catholic Church. Jack was born on July 17, 1929 in Marshfield, the son of Tony and Doris (Reeths) Hansen and was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. He married Bonnie L. Foltz at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. As a young man, Jack was employed for the City of Marshfield and the Marshfield Fire Department. He then was employed as a welder at Felker Brothers Manufacturing until his retirement. Jack had served in the Wisconsin National Guard. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his later years he preferred to watch and care for animals instead of hunting them. He loved the old west and enjoyed collecting antique guns and knives. Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie, 3 children and 2 grandchildren, Shane (Elisa) Hansen, and their children, Jessie and Brianna; and Tammie (Ron) Feit, all of Marshfield, and Beau (Hallie) Hansen of St. Paul, MN. He is further survived by his dog, Sassy and his cat, Joey. He was predeceased by his parents, and 2 brothers, James and Jerry Hansen. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
