Isabelle L. Thums, 102 of Marshfield died on Sunday morning, April 15, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30am Wednesday April 25, 2012 at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield with Father Samuel Martin officiating. Suzanne Golden along with St. John's Funeral Choir will provide the music. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitation will be from 9:30am Wednesday until the time of service at the church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Isabelle was born on January 12, 1910, to Joseph and Pauline (Wenda) Thums. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1928 and pursued a career as a bookkeeper at McClellans Department Store until her retirement. After her retirement she was a volunteer at St. John's rectory for several years and also at the Senior Craft Shop until her mid 90's. She was a member of the PCCW of St. John's Church, and 57 year member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Isabelle was in a bowling league for many years and was an avid walker all her life bringing her to this place in time living for over a century. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by nine sisters, Mary, Francis, Pauline, Barbara, Ann, Julie, Sophie, Veronica, Blondine, three brothers, Charles, Joseph and Ferdinand Thums.
