Isabelle M. Kroening, 101, Marshfield, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 10, 2021 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford, where the visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time. St. Joseph's Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be at 9:00 am at the church. The funeral will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Rev. Sengole Vethanayagam will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine and serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeff, Doug, Chris, Todd and Daniel Kroening and Troy Wiesman. Due to COVID masks are required. Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Isabelle was born on August 8, 1920 in Medford, to Martin and Rose (Hellmann) Diers. She was united in marriage to Bernard F. Kroening on November 16, 1943 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bakerville. He died on December 15, 2002. Isabelle was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She was a very devout Catholic. In her earlier years she worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and Figi's, both in Marshfield. They also farmed in the Town of McMillan. She loved her flowers, gardening, playing cards, Sudoku, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Isabelle is survived by her daughters, Bernice (James) Mercer of Marshfield, Veronica (Merlin) Wiesman of Hazelhurst, Ronald (Diane) Kroening of Marshfield, James (Lynda) Kroening of Mosinee, Dennis (Joanie) Kroening of Edgar, Eugene (Rosemary) Kroening of Spencer, LeRoy (Cheryl) Kroening of Marshfield, and Dale (Mary Jo) Kroening of Bowling Green, KY. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister, Rosina (Clyde) Ehlert of West Bend, a sister-in-law, Nita Diers of Marshfield, and brother and sister-in-law from her husbands family, Leo Geiger of Loyal and Marcella Sitko of Mosinee. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law, Fred Bradley, grandson, Michael Wiesman and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marcella (Robert) Gaffney, Helen (Rudy) Hofmann, Marie (Robert) Bohman and a brother, Wilfred Diers. From her husbands family, Margaret Kroening, Marie (Clarence) Wurl, Irene (John) Beyer, Helen (Jim) Dennee, Dorothy Geiger, Loretta (Felix) Masanz, Agnes (Orville) Landwehr, Jerome (Twyla) Kroening, Melvin Kroening, Leon Kroening and Edward Sitko. The family would like to thank the staff at Touch of Home/Serenity on Ives, who cared for her these last two years, and the nurses and doctors at Marshfield Medical Center.
