Irene G. Patsky, 97 of Marshfield died on Friday morning, September 28, 2012 at the Marshfield Care Center. Mass of Christian burial will be 1:30pm Friday, October 5, 2012 at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield with Fr. Sam Martin officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 12:00 noon until time of services. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Irene was born on October 15, 1914 in Princeton to John and Mary (Washkoviak) Lese. She attended St. John's Parochial School and graduated from Princeton High School in 1932 She was united in marriage to Thomas C. Patsky on June 24, 1936 in Princeton, WI. Tom died on March 23, 1972. They made their home in Milwaukee and moved to Marshfield in 1947. Irene was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and its Parish Council of Catholic Women Society. She loved to fish, duck hunt, garden, cook and bake. She is survived by her daughter Yvonne (Larry) Lauby-Shortess of Marshfield; two granddaughters Linda (Paul Keevil) Lauby of Richmond, VA and Michelle Lauby of North Fort Myers, FL; two step grandchildren, Randy (Sheila) Shortess of Marshfield and their children Savannah and Zach and Lynn (Brien) McCullough of Omaha,NE and their children Megan and Brock. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom, son-in-law James Lauby, two brothers Ed and Norb Lese, two sisters Angeline Lese and Regina Pluger.
