Irene A. Etringer, 94 of Marshfield died on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the House of The Dove under Ministry Hospice Care. Memorial services will be11am Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Rembs Funeral Home with Fr. Sam Martin officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery in Rozellville. Family will receive relative and friends from 10am Wednesday until service time at Rembs Funeral Home. Irene was born on May 15, 1920 in Marshfield to Ernest and Anna (Gruber) Leffel. She attended schools in Marshfield. She was united in marriage to John M. Etringer on June 18, 1949 at St. John's Catholic Church. John died on September 20, 2001. They farmed east of Marshfield until their retirement. She has been residing at Deerview Assisted Living since June 20, 2008. Irene is survived by her children, Gary, Mary, Charlene and Cindy Etringer all of Marshfield; two grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She is further survived by a brother Willis (Tina) Leffel of Marshfield. Besides her parents, and husband John, she was preceded in death by a sister Genevieve Perko and a brother Myron Leffel.
