Ilse M. Bradtke, age 92, Marshfield, died on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Marshfield Care Center. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield. Rev. Daryn Bahn, Rev. Mark A. Krueger and Rev. Dean Pingel will officiate. Bruce Jensema will be the organist along with Christ Lutheran Church Choir and Immanuel Lutheran Church Choir from Hewitt. Burial will take place in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hewitt. Visitation will be held at the church from noon Saturday until time of the service. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the Bradtke family with the arrangements. Ilse M. Bradtke was born on August 3, 1920 in Leipzig, Germany. She was the daughter of Kurt and Margarete (Hoyer) Staedter. Ilse graduated from Watertown High School in 1937 and was employed at Truax Field for the US Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. Ilse married the Rev. Traugott P. Bradtke on October 30, 1943 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown, WI. Ilse and Pastor Bradtke moved to Marshfield in 1944. She served as the organist for Christ Lutheran Church from 1944 through 1987. She also served as an organist for Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hewitt and was a private piano instructor. Ilse is survived by her two children, David Bradtke of Flower Mound, TX, Susan Bradtke of West Bend, WI, two grandchildren, Andrew (Monica) Bradtke of Round Rock, TX and Christopher Bradtke of San Antonio, TX and two great granddaughters, Abigail Rose and Caroline Ilse Bradtke. She is further survived by a niece Louise Sandwick of Chaska, MN and a nephew John (Deneane) Bradtke of Highland, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband the Rev. T.P. Bradtke. Memorials may be dedicated to the choirs of Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield or Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hewitt or to the Marshfield Area Community Foundation indicated to benefit the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter fund.
