Obituary

Ila L. Theisen, 82, Rozellville , died on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the House of the Dove Hospice Home, surrounded by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Rozellville. Rev. Eric Berns will officiate and music will be provided by St. Andrews Guitar Group. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery and Ilas grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford and from 10:00 am on Thursday until service time at St. Andrews Church. Ila was born on July 8, 1929 in Marshfield to Otto and Rozella (Nelson) Wolff and was a 1947 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. Before her marriage she was employed as a switchboard operator at Marshfield Telephone Company. On September 26, 1956 she was united in marriage to Walter R. Theisen at St. Johns Catholic Church, Marshfield. After their marriage the Theisens farmed in the Town of Day and she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women, where she assisted with cooking for many weddings and funerals. She enjoyed bowling and playing sheepshead. Ila is survived by her husband, Walter and their children, David (Joleen) Theisen of Stratford, Sharon (Kim) Beisner of Dorchester, Roger (Kris) Theisen of Marshfield, Carol (Greg) Weber of Stratford, Duane (Bev) Theisen of Spencer, Donald Theisen of Stratford, Russell (Wendy) Theisen of Marshfield and Susan (Steve) Breseman of Marshfield. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Kevin Beisner, Brittany (Brian) Drexler, Benjamin Theisen, Matthew Theisen, Jon Kalsow, Casey Beisner, Michelle Theisen, Zachary Theisen, and Skyler Theisen, and one great granddaughter, Alyssa Drexler. She is further survived by a sister, Rae Joanne Bryant of Marshfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Beverly Brooks.
