Ida B. Habenicht, age 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at House of the Dove in Marshfield, WI surrounded by family. She was born on January 1, 1941, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Gustav and Ida Wiesner.
Ida is survived by daughters Lori (Henry) Ress and Lynda (Craig) Zebrick; son-in-law Dave Mulawa; grandchildren Amanda (Jason) Fleck, Aaron (Allysa) Zebrick, Michael (Polly) Ress, Michelle (Michael Zimmerman) Swanson, Emily (Thomas) Cravans, David Mulawa, Daniel Mulawa, Toreyan (Alec) Bartz and Tanner Habenicht; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by her brother-in-law Robert (Seidy) Habenicht; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend of over 80 years, Marilyn (Tim) Dearth.
She was preceded in death by parents; sister Lydia Boettcher; son Keith L. Habenicht; daughter Luanne I. Mulawa; and her husband of 60 years, Louis.
Ida worked as an LPN at Aurora West Allis Memorial Hospital. She lived a long, blessed life filled with unforgettable memories with those she loved and cherished dearly and will be remembered for her sassiness and endless amounts of unfiltered truth and laughter.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to House of the Dove / Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
