Herman J. Greuel, 62, Marshfield, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Rembs Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am until service time. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate. Burial will be in the Veterans Field of Honor at Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54.
Herman was born on January 24, 1960 in Milwaukee, to Robert and Marie (Jacobitz) Greuel and was a 1978 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1979 until his honorable discharge in 1981. He married Diane Fellenz in 1984 and they later divorced.
Herman had been employed at V & H Automotive and then Walmart, both in Marshfield. He was an avid racing fan, working on and racing cars and enjoyed car shows, especially in Iola. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
He is survived by a son, Anthony (Michelle) Greuel of Finlayson, MN, a daughter, Kimberly Greuel of Marshfield, a granddaughter, Savannah (L.B. Olson) Morgan and a great grandson, Braxton Olson. He is also survived by his mother, Marie Greuel, and siblings, Debbie (David) Wenzel, Laura Petrone and Melvin Greuel, all of Marshfield and Dawn (Richard) St. John of North Carolina, his girlfriend, Charlene and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father and a sister, Mary Gessert.
