Helen passed into eternal life on Thursday August 4, 2011 at The Golden Living Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She is a resident of Sarasota, Florida and spent many happy years there. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 3, 2012 in Sarasota, Florida. Helen was born on November 20, 1920 the daughter of Robert Beckett and Elizabeth Maus Beckett in Bay City Michigan. She was a member of St Boniface Catholic Church and graduated from Bay City Central High School. She earned her undergraduate degree in education at Wayne State University and her Masters degree in education from Michigan State University. Regardless of her degrees, she was a lifelong Michigan Wolverine fan and she always cheered for the Maize and Blue. Helen is survived by her husband, Charles Peterson III of 13 years. She was married for 44 years to Arthur Schwartz, her childhood sweetheart, and also to Dr Marvin Winer. All of her husbands were devoted to her. Helen leaves two children: Arthur Schwartz, Jr., of Casey Key, Florida (partner Melinda L. Yarling) and Susan Twiggs (John) of Marshfield, Wisconsin. She also leaves two grandchildren, Thomas Schwartz Twiggs (Noelle) and Robert Beckett Twiggs (fiancйe Melanie Jeune) and one great grandson, Halston Steele Twiggs all of New York, New York. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Robert and Thomas Beckett, her sisters, Jane LaBerge, Isabel MacDonald, and Patsy Gerard and her husbands, Arthur Schwartz and Dr Marvin Winer. Her brother James of Traverse City, MI survives her. Helen loved her family especially her many nieces and nephews. She spent her lifetime offering unconditional love to all those who knew her. She loved her garden and playing bridge. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be missed. Memorials may be made in Helens name to St Thomas More Catholic Church or the Living Room, Senior Friendship Centers in Sarasota, Florida, the Marshfield, WI Area YMCA and St Boniface Catholic Church in Bay City, Michigan.
