Helen B. Phillippi, 92, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville, with Father Nathan officiating. Burial will take place at Mound Cemetery. The visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday at Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home and from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday.
Helen was born March 5, 1926 in Wood County, WI to Anton and Rose (Kohlbeck) Wellner. She married Carl J. Phillippi on May 10, 1944, in Wisconsin Rapids. Carl died on October 11, 2001.
Helen loved to go to the casinos and gamble, stopping for the Shake-of-the-Day at the local establishments, monthly drawings and Packer pools. She was a Packer fan and loved to watch her country music. Helen loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also a member of the Red Hats.
Helen is survived by her eight children: Marcy (Lyle) Scott; Doris Singer (Bill Bartels); Jerry (Kim) Phillippi; Judi (Dusty) Rhodes; Cindy (Doug) State; Cathy (Jerry) Hubing; Becky (David Sr.) Gessert and Dale Phillippi; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Carl and a son, Roger, and 3 son-in-laws, Anton Singer, Allen Steltenpohl, and Kenneth King.
A memorial will be set up by the family at a later date.
