Helen A. Fischer, 96, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Marshfield. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Ontonagon, Michigan in the summer of 2017. Helen was born on February 14, 1920 in Ontonagon, Michigan, to Walter and Anna (Beil) Deruchowski and was a graduate of Ontonagon High School. She married Stanley J. Fischer on July 12, 1947 in Ontonagon. He died on May 6, 2008. Helen had been employed at Upper Peninsula Power Company for 40 years until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, baking, singing in the church choir and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Helen is survived by her children, Jim (Linda) Fischer of Taylor, WI, Ann (Robert) Davison of Gladstone, MI, Mary (James) Beathard of Marshfield, WI and John (Deborah) Fischer of Oneida, WI. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a son, Robert Fischer, and brothers, Joe, Zig and Jimmy Deruchowski. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
