Helen J. Becker, 93 of Marshfield passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday, August 5th, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Nate Kuhn officiating. The St. John's Funeral Choir will provide the music along with Gigi Plautz as the the organist. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Helen was born on November 28, 1921 in Marshfield to Alois and Clara (Weigel) Stauber. She was a 1939 graduate of Purdy High School due to the fire at McKinley School. After graduation, Helen was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory until she moved to California. She was united in marriage to Robert P. Becker on February 14, 1942 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in San Diego, CA. Following their marriage, the couple lived in San Diego and Glendale, CA before returning to Marshfield. While in California, both Robert and Helen worked for Consolidated Aircraft and Lockheed Aircraft. Helen later worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in the Accounting Department until her retirement in 1984. Robert died on February 28, 1996. Helen is survived by her children, Robert (Elaine) Becker of Kiel, James (Betty Ann) Becker and William (Sue) Becker both of Marshfield; 7 grandchildren and 14 great –grandchildren. She is further survived by two brothers Joseph and Raymond Stauber both of Milwaukee and a sister Bernice Link of Chetek. Besides her parents and husband Robert, she was preceded in death by 2 brother Carl and Willabald Stauber.
