Heather R. Nigh, 30, of Milladore was tragically killed Wednesday, December 31st as a result of a vehicle collision in rural Wood County.
A Funeral for Heather will be held 11am on Friday, January 9th at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield. The family welcomes relatives and friends for visitations Thursday 3-9pm and Friday from 9am until time of service. Interment will occur at a later date on the family plot in Plainfield. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be dear friends Ty Dutcher, Jason Beranek, Mike Duncan, Adam Haffenbredl, and Jon Bulgrin.
Heather was born April 4, 1995 in Wisconsin Rapids to Henry and Barbie (Giebel) Nigh. She grew up in the Sherry area and attended Auburndale schools, graduating from there in 2013. Heather continued her education at the University of Wisconsin in River Falls, later graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science. She found work at several Agricultural related jobs, and was most proud of her time at Dairyland Labs in Stratford. In her youth she was involved in 4-H, and later participated in local softball and volleyball leagues. She had also been a member of the Sherry Volunteer Fire Department. Heather was always willing to help and much enjoyed working with area farmers. She loved her family and friends very much and made sure there was never a dull moment.
Heather will be dearly missed by her parents Henry (Cheryl) Nigh of Milladore and Barbie (Darrell) Parkinson of Wisconsin Rapids; her boyfriend Cody Bunkelman of Dorchester; siblings Nicholas (Miranda) Nigh of Auburndale, Mitchell (Jason Warden) Nigh of Green Leaf; stepsiblings Josh Reigel of Texas, Jared (Jessa) Reigel of Milladore, Darrell (Marissa) Parkinson Jr. of Fond du Lac, Amy Wahlen of Nekoosa, and Jessica (Kyle Schroeder) Parkinson of Wisconsin Rapids. She is further survived by nieces and nephews: Cassidy, Louden, Max, Janna, Josie, Brayden, Byron, Stella, Ivy, Kaden, Brody, Gavin, Bentley, Gage, and Tyson; her step-grandfather Bill Fuehrer, dear pets Kip, Felix, Bella, Bo, and Luke; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her step-brother Jeremy Reigel; grandparents Emery & Ione Nigh, Melva Giebel, and Niel (Marilyn) Giebel; and step-grandparents Annette Fuehrer, and Marvin & Stella Parkinson; and Uncle Randy Giebel.
