Hazel Irene (McConnell) Frost, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2017. Hazel was born on September 1, 1925 in Pittsville, to James and Nora (Brovald) McConnell. She was united in marriage to Jack E. Frost on August 12, 1944 in Pittsville and they were married for 72 years. Hazel was baptized on September 29, 1951 at Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a member of the Marshfield Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed caring for her family, reading, studying the Bible, writing letters, and visits on the phone with family and friends. She was a caring, loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her husband, Jack and her loving children, Connie (Richard) Iattoni of Hortonville, WI, Kathy (Dick) Lane of Benton Harbor, MI, Irene Berger of Byron Center, MI, Dale "Wilbur" Frost (JoAnne) of Pittsville, Frank (Betsy) Frost of Pittsville, and Linda (Virgil) Marsmaker of Western Springs, IL, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Nora McConnell, her sisters, Rose (Raleigh) Frost and Cecil (Roger) Frost, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Don (Beulah) Frost and Carson (Chris) Frost. A private memorial service and celebration of life will be held for immediate family. Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
