Robert B. Hasenohrl, 88, Auburndale, passed peacefully early Sunday morning, March 22, 2015 at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale, with Rev. Jesse Burish officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 am until service time at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Robert was born on May 5, 1926 in the Town of Marshfield, the son of John and Anna (Schneider) Hasenohrl. He married Margaret M. Ashbeck on October 24, 1956 at St. Kilian's Catholic Church, Blenker. She died on December 17, 2006.
Robert ran the home farm and owned and operated his own trucking business prior to his marriage to Margaret Ashbeck in 1956. Shortly after his marriage, he worked for Lang & Scharmann Foundry in Marshfield as a machinist until 1960, when he began working for Roddis as a maintenance machinist. He continued working for Roddis (later Weyerhauser) for 32 years until his retirement in 1992.
Robert enjoyed home improvement projects, carpentry, auto repair, machining, landscaping, and Sunday afternoon Polka dances. He loved spending time with his wife of 50 years, Margaret, as well as his children, grandchildren, and most recently great grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his children, Judy Hasenohrl of Marshfield, Bernadette (Randall) Beining of Rozellville, Jane (Douglas) Schumacher of Marshfield, Bernard Hasenohrl of Auburndale, Jerome (Tabitha) Hasenohrl of Plover, Joan (Robert Day) Hasenohrl-Day of Phoenix, Barbara (Kevin) Ashby of Gleason, Jacqueline Hasenohrl of Marshfield, Joseph Hasenohrl of Auburndale, and Rosetta (Richard) Conti of Milwaukee. He is also survived by grandchildren, Jennifer (Jacob) Meyer, Jeffrey Beining, Eric Hasenohrl, Stacy Schumacher, Logan Hasenohrl, and Desiree Ashby and a great granddaughter Ava Meyer. He is further survived by a sister, Marie Hasenoehrl of Milwaukee and brothers, Michael (Patricia) Hasenohrl of Nekoosa and James (Marlene) Hasenohrl of Auburndale.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Margaret, a sister, Petronella Bredl, and brothers, George, Clarence, Edward, Elmer, Frank and William Hasenohrl.
Memorials may be designated in Robert Hasenohrl's name to St. Mary's Parish, Auburndale.
