Harry Follen, Jr, 90 of Vesper passed away peacefully on Friday evening, February 15, 2013 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. Harry was born on July 23, 1922 to Harry and Grace (Hopp) Follen in Arpin township. He was one of seven children. He was united in marriage to Lorraine E. Winegarden on December 8, 1943 in Arpin. They were married for 69 years. He and Lorraine farmed in the township of Arpin and when Harry was 50 they moved to Vesper. He worked at various occupations and enjoyed working in his workshop where he made crafts for family, friends and church. Harry and Lorraine enjoyed their home in Vesper and traveling throughout the United States. Harry is survived by his wife, Lorraine, children, Philip (Donita) Follen of Neillsville, Terry (Judy Kind) Follen of Minneapolis, and Douglas (Noelle) Follen also of Minneapolis. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren, Dawn, Sean, Carmen, AmyLiz, Tracy, Joel, Jeff, Christi, Lauren and Jeff, 27 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Donald, Gerald and Maynard Follen and 3 sisters, Janice Fisher, Naomi Ter Maat and Ruth Fisher. Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Arpin with Pastor David Crail officiating. Burial will be in the Arpin Cemetery. Visitations will be on Tuesday at the church from 9:30am until time of services. Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home in Pittsville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
