Harriet G. Hannum, 86, Marshfield, died on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Marshfield Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate and music will be provided by Paul Drexler. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and grandchildren, Jeremiah Dietel, Rodney Mischka, Scott Hannum, Aaron Budtke, Alec Hannum, Dustin Dietel and Sergio Dietel will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 9:30 am until service time at Our Lady of Peace Church. A combined Our Lady of Peace Parish Council of Catholic Women and Knights of Columbus rosary service will be held on Monday at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Harriet was born on January 18, 1925 in Marshfield, the daughter of William and Ella (Benderling) Rottscheit, Sr. and was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. She and Francis L. Hannum were united in marriage on November 20, 1946 at St. Johns Catholic Church, Marshfield. As a devoted wife and loving mother, among her many talents were knitting and crocheting. As an avid gardener she operated her own greenhouse for years. She was a 4-H project leader, Rosary Altar Society member, Home and Garden Club charter member, and Homemaker Club member. She enjoyed flowers, plants and tips for life. She loved to travel, always researching geneology. Being in ill health for the last few years and unable to do much on her own, her favorite thing was when everyone came home to visit and spend time telling stories. Harriet is survived by her husband, Fritz and their children, Charlene (Dale) Schmidt of Eau Claire, Richard Hannum of Marshfield, Robert (Jean) Hannum of Spencer, Sheila (Peter) Dietel of Marshfield, Lawrence (Christine) Hannum of Marshfield and Lori (Dennis) Budtke of Stratford. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Renee, Rodney, Jeremiah, Jessica, Dustin, Sergio, Alissa, Emily, Scott, Jennifer, Alec, Nichole and Aaron and seven great grandchildren, Jackson, Denver, Mariah Jo, Ella, Ava, Noah and Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanore and Bernard "Benny" Schambureck, a brother and sister-in-law, William and Erva Rottscheit and a grandson, Joshua F.
