Harold L. Francis, 88 of Marshfield died on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the Marshfield Care Center. Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield with Rev. Jean Irgewere officiating. Burial will be in Neillsville City Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #175 of Loyal. Visitations will be from 10am Saturday at Rembs Funeral Home until time of the service. Harold was born on August 15, 1923 in Neillsville to Edward and Elizabeth (King) Francis. He attended Neillsville area schools and barbering school in Milwaukee. He was united in marriage to Lorraine M. Lezotte on December 9, 1943 in Black River Falls. He served in the United States Army during World War II and after his honorable discharge, he returned to Loyal where he operated his barber shop for over 52 years. After his retirement, they moved to Marshfield and had lived her since. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. While barbering, his pals would come into the shop daily and talk about fishing stories and many others topics. He was respected in the community and loved by many. He had a special love for his wife Lorraine, children and grandchildren. Dad will be missed by his wife and family, but we know someday we will all be united, what a reunion. He is survived by his wife Lorraine of Marshfield, daughters Patricia (Danny) Slaby of Landers CA; Jacqueline (David) Slaby and Paula (David) Schumacher both of Marshfield. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and twin infant daughters, Jacqueline and Peggy.
