Harold N. Bell,Sr., 84, Marshfield, died on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Homeplace of Dorchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Rev. Samuel Martin will officiate and music will be provided by St. Johns Church Funeral Choir. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be grandchildren, Darla Marchenkuski, John Bell, Jr., Jody Jennerman, Jay Bonnett, Melissa Bell, Chris Olson, and Pete Bell. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Thursday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Johns Church. A parish prayer service will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Harold was born on August 23, 1927 in the Town of Lincoln, Wood County, the son of Peter and Mary (Eckes) Bell and attended St. Marys Parochial School in Bakerville. On June 2, 1949 he was united in marriage to Ruth H. (Plier) Frankwick at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2009. Prior to marriage, Harold worked at the Marshfield Canning Company and later at Roddis Manufacturing, now known as Marshfield Door Systems. He served in the Wisconsin National Guard from 1948 until 1950. He worked as a foreman at Rollohome from 1952 until the plant closed in 1985. He then became employed at Wisconsin Homes until retiring in April 1991. Harold enjoyed woodworking, cabinetry, fishing and camping throughout his life. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, three sons and two daughters, Tom (Patty) Bell of Spencer, Ken (Cindy) Bell of Fond du Lac, Sherri Bell of Eau Claire, Mary (Mike) Olson of Hustisford, and Harold (Diann) Bell, Jr. of Marshfield. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. He is further survived by two sons-in-law, Wes Bonnett of Fond du Lac, and Bob Kloos of Rosendale, a daughter-in-law, Janet Bell of Marshfield, and three sisters, Sally Pilsner, Marie Kelly, and Violet (Jim) Meyer, all of Marshfield. He was predeceased by his parents, a son, John Bell, a daughter, Sandy Bonnett, a stepdaughter, Joan Kloos, a stepson, David Frankwick, a grandson, David Kloos, four sisters, Margaret Gust, Esther Chase, Delores Spindler, Agnes Frankwick, and a brother, Andrew Bell.
