Grace K. Kitzmann, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville, where the visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Rev. Lucas Proeber will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville and serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Randy, Jeff, Mike, Danny, and Greg.
Grace was born on February 21, 1934 in Milwaukee, to Erwin and Grace (Shad) Butz. She attended Milwaukee schools and then Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN.
She was united in marriage to Harvey A. Kitzmann on June 28, 1952 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Wauwatosa. He died on September 6, 2007.
Grace had been employed as secretary in Madison and then at Figi's in Marshfield. She then raised her family, residing in Pittsville.
In her younger years Grace had been an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Marshfield, where sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and was a member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed singing, playing the organ, flowers and gardening.
She is survived by a son, Timothy (Sharon) Kitzmann of Pittsville and a daughter, Sue (Al Hamel) Bargender of Nekoosa. She is also survived by seven grandsons, Randy (Bailey) Bargender, Jeff (Rhiannon) Bargender, Michael (Rebecca) Bargender, Daniel Bargender, Greg Soppe (Tracy), Bradley Milligan, Josh Kitzmann and seven great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Joan Crabtree and a brother John Butz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter, Ellen Jones.
Memorials may be designated in her name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids.
