Gloria A. Manicke, 52, Stratford, passed away peacefully in her sleep from COVID on Monday, December 20, 2021 at her home in the Town of Cleveland. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date and interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine. Gloria was born on March 7, 1969 to Ervin and Caroline Uerling. She lived in Stratord her entire life and graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic School and Stratford High School. Gloria met the love of her life, Roger Manicke on April 12, 1994 and they spent many wonderful years together restoring classic cars, remodeling their home and never missing the annual Iola Car Show with good friends Mark and Melissa Knauf. Gloria made many life-long friends during her days working in the food industry. Her friends describe her as having a heart of gold with a spunky quick wit that created much laughter. Gloria also was the neighborhood watch. Nothing went on in the neighborhood without Gloria knowing about it. She found purpose in "keeping that man," her dear friend and neighbor, John Peirce, "on his toes" and stocked with milk and cookies. Gloria was blessed with other good neighbors, Kathy, Jane and John Seitz ensured Gloria was well on a daily basis after she lost her dear husband, Roger, to cancer on March 17, 2017. She is survived by her sister, Elaine (David) Dellvon of Wausau and nieces, Joy, Joanna, and Jamie, honorary parents/cousins, Jane and David Beste, stepmother, Nancy Uerling, stepbrother, Brad Stevens, stepsister, Barb (Michael) Ritchie, brothers-in-law, Tony (Judy) Manicke and Michael (Donna) Manicke, and sisters-in-law, Victoria (Michael) Draxler and Melissa Manicke. She is further survived by stepchildren, Samantha, Eric and Adam (Tanya) Manicke. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Roger on March 17, 2017.
