Obituary

Glenn A. Busche, 82, Antigo, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at his home in the Town of Norwood, Langlade County, under the care of his wife, Beverly, and LeRoyer Hospice of Antigo.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford where a visitation will be from at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until service time. Rev. Jack Busche will officiate. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Military rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6352 of Stratford. Burial will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 8, at Elmwood Cemetery, Antigo.

Glenn was born on November 8, 1943, in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County, to John D. and Edna G. (Treankler) Busche and was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids. He was graduate of Stratford High School and a veteran of the United States Navy serving from March 31, 1961, until his honorable discharge on September 19, 1963. He then served in the Reserves until December 4, 1966. He was united in marriage to Beverly A. Faneuf on March 26, 1966, at Ascension Lutheran Church, Waukesha.

Glenn began a lifelong salvage career in 1966 when he operated Bee Line Auto in Edgar. As the business grew, he then began Tomahawk Iron and Metal, Tomahawk, in 1987. In 1997 he began operating Bee Line Tire Recycling in Antigo until the present time. He enjoyed working with his sons and running various end loaders, backhoes, and excavators.

He enjoyed traveling in his motor home, going to look at and collecting old cars and machinery, spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs, visiting new places and exploring different things.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beverly, and their children, Jeffrey Busche of Tomahawk, Gregory Busche of Edgar, and Steven (Lin Ling Shi) Busche of Phlox, WI. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Erica, Christopher (Brianna), Amanda, and Benjamin Busche, and one great granddaughter, Parker Busche. He is further survived by his brothers, Delmar (Barbara) Busche, John (Janet) Busche, Dale Busche, a sister-in-law Marlene Busche, a brother-in-law, Ronald Ehlert, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant grandson, Kurtis Busche, a brother, Gordon, and sisters, Gertrude (Fred) Hannemann and Shirley Ehlert.
