Glen (Charles) Knutson, 76, Arpin, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 15, 2013 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Arpin, with Rev. Don Adams officiating. Burial will take place in Arpin Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Knutson, Ron Wellnitz, Mike Dupee, Gerry Zopfi, Stan Saylor, and Gary Mitchell. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville and on Friday from 10:00 am until service time at St. John's United Church of Christ, Arpin. Glen was born on January 9, 1937 in Marshfield, the son of Ole and Margaret (Strupp) Knutson. He attended Auburndale High School until he was diagnosed with polio which he overcame. He married Jean M. Herzberg on July 5, 1958 at The Little White Church in Dubuque, IA. As a young man Glen was employed at Roddis Plywood, Rollohome Corporation and then at Wick Building Systems in the maintenance department for 47 years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid deer hunter and a devoted fan of Maggie Mae. Glen was handy with his hands, fixing and building things, and metal sculpting. He was always willing to help anyone with electrical problems. He is survived by his wife Jean, 6 children and 13 grandchildren, James (Cindy) Knutson of Pittsville and their son, Ryan; Jeffrey (Sheila) Knutson of Arpin and their daughter, Jenna (Cody) Guldan; Jon Knutson of Arpin and his daughter, Kierstynn; Jackie (Leroy) Berkholtz of Wisconsin Rapids and their children, Nicole and Kelly; Jalayne (David) Anderson of Auburndale and their children, Jared, Jordan and Taylor; Jennifer (Jeff) Korbal of Arpin and their children, Megan, Melissa, Morgan, Madison and Matthew. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Nina Wellnitz of Arpin and Elaine (Alroy) Kempf of Marshfield. He is further survived by his favorite pet cat, Kiki. He was predeceased by his parents, a grandson, Jeremy Knutson, a daughter-in-law, Sandy Knutson, 2 brothers, Harold and Larry Knutson, a brother-in-law, Roy Wellnitz, a sister-in-law, Janice Rasmussen, and his father and mother-in-law, Pete and Tooty Herzberg.
