Gladys E. Albert, 82, Junction City, died on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Stevens Point Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Junction City. Rev. Dr. Timothy W. Roser will officiate and Marit Erickson will be the organist for congregational singing. Burial will take place in Runkel Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine, Portage County. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 am until service time at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Martens / Rembs Funeral Home, Junction City, is assisting the family. Gladys was born on June 7, 1928 in Kennan, Wisconsin to Martin and Erna (Tiegs) Petersen. She moved to Junction City and was a 1946 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School, Stevens Point. She and Norman H. Albert were united in marriage on May 20, 1950 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Junction City. He died on January 27, 2000. Gladys was employed at Sentry Insurance in Stevens Point until her retirement. She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Junction City, St. Pauls Ladies Aid, was a Sunday School teacher, an organist and choir director and was a member of LLL. She is survived by four sons, Dennis (Kathy) Albert, Kenneth (Charlotte) Albert, and Randall (Cindy) Albert, all of Junction City, and Paul (Carmen) Albert of Marquette, Michigan. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Becky (Vernon) Kellnhofer of Spanaway, WA, Katie (Brian) Kurszewski of New London, WI, Christine (Tim) Peplinski and Kelly (Tim) Schulist, all of Stevens Point, Nicole Albert of Golden Valley, MN, Jackson Albert of Marquette, MI, and Terra Albert of Junction City and ten great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Doris (Herb) Lythjohons of Appleton and a brother, Howard (Karen) Petersen of Lackwood, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman and a granddaughter, Casey Lynn Albert. Memorials may be designated in her name to St. Pauls music fund.
