Gilbert David LaSee, 77, Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford, with Rev. Sengole Vethanayagam officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, and from 10:00 am on Wednesday until service time at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford. Gil was born on September 19, 1939 in Marshfield, the son of Harold and Verna (Krauter) LaSee. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1958. Gil was married to Lana J. Eckes on August 10, 1961 and they were married for 30 years. Gil worked at American Motors in Kenosha, Star Craft Homes in Stratford and Felker Brothers Manufacturing in Marshfield. He volunteered many hours at St. Joseph's Hospital and was also actively involved in volunteering at the Marshfield Area Respite Care Center. Gil was a loving Dad and a very proud Grandpa. He loved going to dirt track stock car races, talking about old times. He loved his cars and his very good dogs. He was an all around handy man, wood worksman, electrician and fabricator. Gil is survived by his children, Keith (Joell) LaSee, Brian LaSee and Michele (Dan) Benz, his grandchildren, Makaylan and Mandy Benz and Brianna LaSee. He is also survived by his sisters, Helen (Jim) Losleben, Joan (Tom) Zygarlicke, Carol (Allen) Bauer, Janet Courtney and brothers, Jerry (Barb) LaSee, Roger LaSee and James (Cathy) LaSee, and many nieces and nephews.
