Gertrude A. Koch, 94 of Marshfield died peacefully on Monday evening, January 27, 2014 at the House of The Dove. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30am Friday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Fr. Eric Berns officiating. Burial will in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pete Behrens, Kevin Behrens, Jim Schwieso, Patrick Schwieso, Hank Zimmermann, and Lee Schaefer. Visitations will be at the church on Friday from 10am until time of services. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Gertrude was born on November 19, 1919 in the town of Spencer, Marathon County to Richard and Anna (Weigl) Koch. She worked at various secretarial and office positions throughout her life in Marshfield including, Marshfield Clinic, Central Cheese, Opportunity Development Center, Boulevard Motors and Zimmermann Brothers. Gertrude enjoyed bowling and at one time was involved in 5 leagues, maintaining a 150-160 average. She is survived by her sister Florence Seehafer of Marshfield, sisters -in-law Irene Koch of Marshfield and Birdia Koch of Tucson, AZ , numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friends Olga and Mary Ann. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters Dorothy Hakl, Margaret Jirschele and Alma Jirschele; two brothers Karl and James Koch. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
