Germaine A. "Toots" Herman, 94, Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Marshfield Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 am until service time on Tuesday. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Germaine was born on October 23, 1923 in Marshfield to William and Rose (Eckes) Sautner. She attended St. John's Parochial School, Purdy Junior High School and graduated from Marshfield Senior High. She was united in marriage to Raymond U. Herman on February 20, 1943 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. He died on February 24, 1969. Germaine had been employed as a waitress at the Patio Restaurant for 23 years. She was very active at the Senior Center and volunteered for many things at the center, especially for brunch and bingo. She is survived by her sons, David (Patricia) Herman and Danyl (Carol) Herman. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jon and Kristalena. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews including Roseanne Heller. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, 3 sisters, Jeanette Carnahan, Lorraine Mackie and Olive Beels, and a brother, Gordon "Bud" Sautner. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
