Gerald J. Fisher, 83 of Rozellville died on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 am Saturday, March 19, 2016 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville with Fr. Sen Vethamanickam officiating. St. Andrew's Folk Choir will provide the music. Burial will be at a later date in the church cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at the church by the VFW #6352 of Stratford.
Family will receive relatives and friends from 4-7pm Friday at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Saturday at the church from 10:30 am until service time.
Gerald was born on September 7, 1932 in Rozellville to John and Ann (Wittman) Fisher and later moved to Marshfield. He attended St. Andrew's Parochial in Rozellville and John's Parochial in Marshfield.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from February 21, 1951 until his honorable discharge on February 2, 1954.
He was united in marriage to Dorothy Ann Weber on September 5, 1959 at St. Andrew's Church.
Gerald worked for Oster Corporation in Milwaukee until 1995 when he retired and returned to Rozellville. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, gardening and coaching Little League.
Gerald is survived by his wife Dorothy, children, James (Betty) Fisher of Wauwatosa, Joseph Fisher of Butler, Jeffrey (Dawn) Fisher of DePere, and Jean (Greg) Kurk of Colgate; 6 grandchildren, Gerald, Katina, Joseph Jr., Jeremy, Matthew and Amanda Fisher. He is further survived by a sister Annette Pink of Lake Havasu, AZ and a brother Clem Fisher of Marshfield; sister-in-law Darlene Fisher of Milwaukee.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a 2 brothers Bernard and Jerome Fisher and a brother-in-law Patrick Pink.
The family would like to thank the staff at Three Oaks and Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital.
