Gayle L. Koderl, 76, Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in the Emergency Room of Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Rembs Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 8:00 am until service time. Rev. Eric Berns will officiate. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Gayle was born on January 13, 1941 in Ladysmith to Peter and Marion (Connaughty) Fond, Sr. At the age of two she moved to Marshfield with her parents. She was a 1960 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. She was united in marriage to Thomas A. Koderl on September 2, 1961 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. Gayle had been employed as a Unit Coordinator at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, until her retirement. She is survived by her husband, Tom and their sons, Timothy Koderl (Terri McCarthy) of Austin, TX and Daniel Koderl of Marshfield. She is also survived by her sisters, Karen Nicola of Sebring, FL and Cassie Philippi of Forest Lake, MN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael on August 7, 2010, sisters, Eileen Fiebig and Priscilla Britten and a brother, Peter Fond, Jr. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
