IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frederick "Fritz" A.
Mancl
April 10, 1934 – November 20, 2023
Frederick A. "Fritz" Mancl, 89, Sherry, passed away peacefully Monday, November 20, 2023, at the Marshfield Health Services.
A memorial service for Fritz will be 11:00 am on Friday, April 12th, 2024 at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield. There will be visitation from 9am until the time of service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sherry.
Fritz was born April 10, 1934, in Marshfield to Sylvester Sr. and Grace M. (Bliven) Mancl. He was united in marriage to the former Miss Marcella A. Mielke on November 10, 1955 in the town of Sigel. She survives.
Fritz was a man of many talents. His hands were tough enough to turn wrenches, and sensitive to play the accordion. A musically skilled man, he played with the Tony Haselberger Trio, and was leader of "Fritz & the Bandits" for many years playing Polka all over central Wisconsin. During this time he was a mechanic and drove truck as well for Blenker Oil (Later Swetz Oil), forklift operator at Rollohome, and put in time at Dickrell Cheese. Later he (alongside his wife) was a maintenance man for St. Michaels Church & School in Junction City and St. Kilian's in Blenker. Fritz really enjoyed tinkering at home and always found ways to keep his hands busy; from building his own cabinetry, to fixing his friends' and neighbors' yard implements.
Fritz is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marcella, his children: Sheryl (Steve) Rodgers of Fort Myers, FL, Dale (Donna) Mancl of Marshfield, Nadine (Harry) Dolens of Vesper, Russell (JoAnn) Mancl of Kronenwetter, Gaylord (Monica) Mancl of Janesville, and Debra Mancl of Tallmadge, OH; 8 grandchildren: Kathryn, Tammy, Becky, Shawn, Jason, Nolan, Jessica, & Mathew; and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Sylvester Mancl Jr. of West Bend, Grace (the late Kenneth) Lieble of Auburndale, and Jane (the late James) Quinnell of Wisconsin Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers in infancy: Gene and Kenneth, and his sister Delores "Poochie" Wells.
