Fred P. Serzynski, 83, Marshfield, died on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Golden Living Center, Three Oaks, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Eric Berns officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. The visitation will be held from 10:00 am on Tuesday until service time at Our Lady of Peace Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Fred was born on December 4, 1931 in Chicago to Xavier and Alexsandra Godlewski. He attended Catholic grade school and public high school. He was drafted into the United States Army and served during the Korean War. After his discharge he held various jobs in Chicago and finally went to work for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation of Greater Chicago. He was employed there for 25 years until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed going to the horse tracks in the Chicago area. In 2004 he sold his home in Chicago and moved to Marshfield and became a renter at the home of Lucille "Lucy" Adamus on West 4th Street, who he had known in Chicago. Lucille retired in 1997 and moved back to Marshfield. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his only sibling, Eugene. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
