Obituary

Fred W. Justman, 89, Stratford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at his home in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford, where the visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time. Rev. Sengole Vethanayagam will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine. Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Fred was born on December 3, 1931 in Marshfield, to Fred O. and Julia (Beyer) Justman. He married Patricia A. Jost on April 10, 1950 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield. She died on March 25, 2020 after 70 years of marriage. As a young man he worked for Soil Conservation in Stratford and then he became employed at A.O. Smith Corporation until his retirement. He then worked part time for Perry Carrington. Fred and Pat were avid square dancers and Fred had been a square dance caller for many years with various groups in the area, including the Loyal Circle Eights. He also served as Stratford Village President. He is survived by his children, Patricia Justman (Bob), Kenneth (Lori) Justman, Keith (Mary) Justman, Shirley (Bill) Kucirek, James (Dawn) Justman and Julie (Dean) Folz. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son David, a sister, Eileen and a brother, Warren.
