Frank J. Vogel, 85, Marshfield, died on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Ministry St. Josephs Hospital Palliative Care with his family by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, February 13, 2012 at St. Johns Catholic Church, Marshfield. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Monday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Johns Church. Frank was born on December 1, 1926 in Marshfield, the son of Ervin and Mary (Kohlbeck) Vogel. He attended St. Johns Parochial School and was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. He married Rhea Mae Doehr on July 3, 1948 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Frank was a member of the Iron Workers Union, Local 383 for over 60 years. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and crossword and jigsaw puzzles. He also loved tending his gardens and was an avid Brewers, Packers and Badgers fan. He is survived by his wife, Rhea Mae and their children, Rhonda (Galen) Hasenfang, Bob (Joyce) Vogel, Frank (friend Kathy) Vogel, Paula (Max) Navarro, all of Marshfield, Patti (Jim) Hasenfang of Mosinee, Chris (Steve) Vogel-Tysver, of Marshfield, Kimberly (Rich) Keehner of Villa Park, IL, and Suellyn (the late Jim) Murray of Stratford, and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Vogel of Marshfield. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, Josh, Shelly, Cissa, Andy, Erin, Matt, Hunter, Jake, Jamie, Lucas, Jason, Ariel, Marah, Morgann, Brice, Michael, Sydney, and Utah, and by seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a son James, and two brothers, Joseph and Donald. In lieu of flowers the family will designate a memorial in Franks name at a later date.
