Frank J. Steines, 91, Fenwood, died on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Northside Elder Estates, Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford. Rev. Robert Wagner will officiate and music will be provided by St. Joseph's Resurrection Choir. Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County and nephews will serve as honorary and active pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. A Knights of Columbus Rosary service will be held on Monday at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Frank was born on November 27, 1920 in the Town of Cleveland, Marathon County, to Eugene and Mary (Kaiser) Steines. He was employed in electrical work, installing furnaces with his father and was then employed with John Deere for fifty years, repairing machinery. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus John Eisen Council #1799. Frank is survived by three sisters, Margaret Griesbach, Agnes (Paul) Theurer, and Mary Feltz, all of Stratford and a brother, Sylvester (Maxine) Steines of Tripoli. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Vincent, Lawrence, and Peter Steines and four sisters, Ann Finnegan, Gertrude Steines, Sister Susan Steines, FSPA, and Verena Karl.
