Frank R. Schuster, 83, formerly of Pittsville, died on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Golden Living Center, Three Oaks, Marshfield.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 1, 2014 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Pittsville, with Rev. Robert Nelson officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joachim Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends from 8:30 am on Monday until service time at St. Joachim Catholic Church. Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Frank was born on May 8, 1931 in the Town of Richfield, Wood County, to John and Regina (Straka) Schuster. He attended Long School in the Town of Richfield and later obtained his high school G.E.D. He married Elizabeth E. "Betty" Hoffman on August 20, 1960 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield.
Frank farmed in the Town of Richfield until 1965. He then worked at Wick Homes for 2 years and then at Wisconsin Homes until 1972. At that time he began his own business, Schuster Enterprises retiring in 2000.
He enjoyed making wooden toys for his grandchildren, hunting and fishing. He was active in scouts being a Webelos leader and Scout Master for Boy Scouts and tapped out for Order of the Arrow. He was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus Maryheart Council 10522 of Pittsville, and was a Lions member for a short time.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, and their children, Anna (Frank) Johnson of Pittsville, John (Janet) Schuster of Switzerland, Kathy (Ron) Stoltz of Stevens Point, Kris (Roger) Theisen of Marshfield, Luke (Rita) Schuster of Cato, Mary (Steve) Schuster of Wisconsin Rapids and Jim (Sheila) Schuster of Pittsville. He is also survived by grandchildren, Katrina (Greg) Elsen, Matthew Theisen, Michelle (fiancé – Nick) Theisen, Jessica, Joelle and Stephanie Schuster, Laura Stoltz, Raynee Schuster, Zak Schuster, Andrew and Jenna Schuster. He is further survived by a sister, Irene Jonas of Marshfield and by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, a son, Joseph and sisters, Rose Marie Zinthefer, Josephine Konrardy, Anna Martin, and Helen Schuster.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of Three Oaks and Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital for the care that was given to Frank.
The family will designate a memorial at a later date.
