Frances V. Lehman, 96, Junction City, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

A Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Junction City with a PCCW rosary starting at 8:45 a.m., followed by visitation until the time of service. A livestream of the service will be available on Frances’ obituary page at the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Frances was born on November 2, 1929 and raised in Stevens Point, Town of Carson, by her parents, Victor and Angeline (Spieczka) Pientka. She worked for Illinois Central Railroad (Metra) downtown Chicago, IL, for over 30 years. On October 14, 1950, Frances was united in marriage to John Laczkowski in Chicago, Illinois. He passed away on December 18, 1976. Together they had 5 children: Linda (Jorge) Fernandez of Arizona, Kenneth (Debra) Laczkowski of Stevens Point, Mary (John) Crawford of Junction City, and John Jr. (Wendy) Laczkowski of Wausau.

She married Louis Lehman on August 23, 1997, which blended our families together with the following stepchildren, whom she loved as her own: Diane (Steve) Worzalla, Kathie (Dwayne) Wierzba, Sheila (Todd) Plagman, Dan (Lora) Lehman, Ken (Anita) Lehman, Peter (Kristie) Lehman, Mary Przybylski, Mark (Randie) Lehman, Paul (Jenny) Lehman, Jane Lehman, Karen (Randy) Fletcher, and Jerod (Adriena) Lehman; 51 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

Frances cherished the simple joys of life and the people she loved most. She looked forward to spending Sundays playing "The Marble Game" (Aggravation - always choosing the blue marbles), while listening to polka music, and visiting with family. Mondays were reserved for playing dice with friends, and her favorite saying, "Dice, dice, be nice," always brought a smile, and Fridays meant sign-in day at B&B's Parkway playing pull tabs. Above all, Frances treasured every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She shared a devoted love with her husband, her "honey," and the two were rarely apart, always holding hands and finding a way to be close to one another.

She is further survived by 3 sisters: Lorraine Pientka and Mary Pientka of Stevens Point and Dolores Soik of West Allis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Angeline; husband, John; son, David Laczkowski; sisters, Anna Laczkowski and Harriet Hutnik, and seven brothers: Tony, Eugene, Billy, Eddy, Alex, Vincent and Victor (Pinky).
