Frances M. "Fran" Pete, 75, of Port Edwards died the evening of Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Marshfield Medical Center.

She will be interred with her parents at St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery in Rozellville where a private committal will be held at a later date. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Fran was born May 22, 1950 in Neillsville, WI to Harvey Sr and Margaret (Kremer) King and grew up in the Marshfield Area. An animal lover in the truest sense, she's taken in many cats and dogs over the years and loved them all dearly. Some birds and ferrets as well. Fran had an appreciation for the outdoors; she took pride in her garden and had enjoyed camping in her younger years. She was a woman who could strike up a conversation easily with almost anyone and believed in Bible and Family.

Fran is survived by her children: Peter (Karen) Globke, Regina (Albert) Warner, and Kerrin (Paul) Najemnik; and one grandson: Jacob Najemnik. She is further survived by her siblings: Harvey King Jr. of Thorp, Wilbert King of Hatley, Alfred King of Stoughton, and Clara King of Eau Claire.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Mary, Lawrance, and Evelyn King.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of Edgewater Haven Nursing home and the Marshfield Medical Center Surgical ICU for the care they gave to Fran during her decline.
