Frances I. Luther, 82, Pittsville, died with family by her side on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care, Marshfield. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at United Church of Christ, Pittsville, with Rev. Wanda Veldman officiating. Burial will take place in Sherwood Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 9:00 am until service time at United Church of Christ, Pittsville. Frances was born on June 7, 1932 in Pittsville to George and Irene (Dawes) Dibble, Sr. She attended Pleasant Corners School and Pittsville High School. On July 5, 1950 she was united in marriage to Richard L. Luther at the Congregational Church in Pittsville. Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and amaryllis flowers, travel and visiting with family and friends. She was a member of United Church of Christ and Rainbow Chapter No. 87 Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Richard, and their children, Linda (Arnold) Schwanebeck, Robert (June) Luther, Nancy Kane, and Ronald (Jackie) Luther, all of Pittsville, and Donald (Dianne) Luther of Boulder Junction, and Susan (John) Cepress of Arpin. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her brothers and sister, George Dibble, Jr., of Pittsville, Ray (Audrey) Dibble of Wisconsin Rapids, Norman (Paula) Dibble of Edmonds, WA, Marian Williams of Silver City, NM, Glen (Sharon) Dibble of Ahwankee, CA, a brother-in-law, Robert Krueger of Pittsville, a sister-in-law, Gloria Dibble of Vesper and her day time companion Zoey. She was predeceased by her parents, a grandson, Anthony, siblings, Bessie, Gladys, and Fred and brothers-in-law, Tom Williams and Wayne Toney. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
