Evelyn M. Crossman, 92, Marshfield, died on Friday, January 11, 2013, with family by her side at Golden Living Center, Three Oaks, in Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Auburndale. The visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time at Rembs Funeral Home. A combined parish and Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be held on Monday at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Evelyn was born on September 9, 1920 in Marshfield, the daughter of John and Mary (Baierl) Fuehrer. She attended St. Mary's Parochial School, Auburndale and was a graduate of Auburndale High School. She married Lloyd J. Crossman on January 15, 1944 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. He died on January 23, 1982. Evelyn had worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory and at Casa Loma Supper Club, both in Marshfield. Later she and her husband founded Marshfield Flooring which they owned and operated until their retirement. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, dancing, fishing and moonlight boat rides on the Mississippi river with her husband, Lloyd. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She is survived by various relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Irene Panzer and a brother, Richard Fuehrer. Memorials may be designated in her name to the Marshfield Medical Foundation.
