Eugene E. Heisler, Sr., 87, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. Rev. Andrew Belt will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Eugene was born on January 30, 1937 in Auburndale to Allie and Isabelle (Becker) Heisler. He graduated from Marshfield Senior High School. He was united in marriage to Clara Johnson on November 30, 1957 at Christ Lutheran in Chili. He worked as a welder for Berg Equipment, Praschak Machine Shop, and Trailblazer. He later enjoyed farming for several years.

Eugene enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and winning his family and friends' money.

He is survived by his wife, Clara, daughters, Janet Aschebrook (Jay Zellner), JoAnn (Mike) Berdan, all of Stratford, and his son, Eugene (Kathy) Heisler, Jr. of Eau Claire, daughter in law, Ann Heisler of Marshfield, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters, Delores Mundt, Jeannie Krueger, Shirley King, and Patricia (Dennis) Weinstock, and brother, Laverne (Virginia) Heisler.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Lyle Heisler.
