Emmett Myles Smith, eleven-day old infant son of Austin Smith and Fiona Redmond of Rhinelander passed away May 21, 2026 at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield from complications of extreme prematurity. Myles Emmet, his twin brother preceded him in death eight days prior on the 13th.

Although his life was short, these few days were filled with love. Besides his parents, he is survived by his older brother Riley and his grandparents: Tara & Michael Redmond, Chad & Simona Smith, and Eri & Jay Martin who will remember him and his brother with love.

Eleven days of grace, eleven days of light,
You held our world, so pure and bright.
Your tiny hands, your gentle breath,
A love that triumphs over death.

You did not stay to walk the miles,
Or share with us a lifetime's smiles,
But in those hours you softly slept,
You claimed the promises we kept.

So brief your stay, so deep your trace,
